Do GI Patients Consider Telehealth Equivalent to In-Person Care?

Is screen time as good as face time? When it comes to GI care, patients say yes.

That’s the result of research published recently in AGA’s journal, Gastroenterology. The study, co-authored by Telebelly Advisory Board member Naresh Gunaratnam, AGAF, measured patient satisfaction with telehealth services and perceived quality of care compared to in-person office visits.

The study also found that more than 80% of telehealth patients didn’t require an in-person follow-up visit.

It’s clear that patients are ready for GI care via telehealth. Is your practice prepared to offer the ease of scheduling, increased flexibility, and shorter wait and travel times that telehealth delivers?
